Obituary of Charles Edward Maddox

Fort Valley, GA- Charles Maddox, 69, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Services for Charles will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday December 15, 2018. Please contact Melissa or Michelle for more information. Mr. Maddox was born on November 30, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to the late L.C. and Lena Maddox. He was retired from Henry County Department of Transportation. Charles had a passion for writing, which included writing poetry and music. When it came to music, Charles loved to play the piano in his spare time. Besides writing and piano playing, his hobbies also included fishing or anything outdoors. The greatest time spent for Charles was spending time with all of his grandchildren and most of all, his two daughters. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Onthaus Maddox, brother, Fred Maddox and sister, Joanne Guest. His memory will forever be cherished by his 2 daughters, Melissa Brown (“Bud” Joseph), Fort Valley; Michelle Martin, Jackson GA.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Clark; 2 brothers, Stephen Maddox; Leon Maddox and several friends.
