Obituary of Sara L. Hamlin

Warner Robins, GA: Sara L. Hamlin, 83, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in a local hospital. Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 util 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hamlin was born in Dodge County, GA to the late Walter Grinsted and Birdie Floyd Grinsted. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Edwin Hamlin. Mrs. Hamlin was a member at Second Baptist Church where she was involved with the XYZ Senior Adult Group. She was retired from the Robins Air Force Base Hospital were she was a registered nurse for over 26 years. Survivors include her son Kenneth E. Hamlin of OH, daughter Linda McDowell of NC, brother Henry Grinsted of Cochran, sisters Marcie Barlow of Cochran, Virginia Moore of Toccoa, Mae Huff of Macon, three grandchildren Jennifer Hamlin of TX, Tim McDowell of CA and John McDowell of NC. Flowers will be accepted but those who wish may make donations to Second Baptist Church XYZ Senior Adult Group at 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mrs. Hamlin. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in chrage of arrangements.
