Obituary of George Wesley Barfield

Warner Robins: George Wesley Barfield, 86, died Saturday January 28, 2006. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Rev. Sydney Odom will officiate. Mr. Barfield, a native of Ft. Valley, was the son of the late Warren and Anna Watson Barfield. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was the first full time building inspector for the City of Warner Robins. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Ruth Schofill Barfield of Warner Robins. Children: Terry Kitty Barfield of Centerville, Sheryl Barfield Angle, Wayne Bonnie Barfield all of Warner Robins, Brian Lee Barfield of Destin, FL, Charlotte Ann Barfield of Hilton Head, SC,. Siblings: Mabel Mullis of Conyers, Joan Law of Macon and Barney Susan Barfield of Perry . Grandchildren: Brandi Jamey King of Savannah, Kevin Angle, Derek Emily Angle, of Warner Robins, Greg Angle of Macon, Jason Barfield, Daniel Barfield of Warner Robins, The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
