Obituary of Alice L. Dowling

Warner Robins, GA: Alice L. Dowling, 80, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Andersonville National Cemetery at 12 Noon Wednesday. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Dowling was born in Concord, NC. She was the daughter of the late Will Mac & Lila King Linker. Retired Lt. Col. Dowling, was a nurse in the United States Air Force. She was a member at the Centerville First United Methodist Church, a member of the Retired Officers Association and the American Red Cross Association. Survivors include her husband, Fred M. Dowling of Warner Robins, sisters, Willie Knox of Statesville, NC and Faye Myers of Concord, NC, three sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Centerville First United Methodist Church @ 101 Wilson Dr., Centerville, GA, 31028, in memory of Mrs. Dowling.
