Obituary of Isaac E. Averett

Warner Robins, GA: Mr. Isaac E. ?Ike? Averett, 70, passed away in a local hospital September 14, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery Milledgeville, GA at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 7 PM to 9 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the funeral home. Mr. Averett was born in Haddock, GA to Mr. and Mrs. Emmett and Maude Joiner Averett. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Marine Corps League. Mr. Averett was a retired maintenance technician and attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Averett was preceded in death by his son William Michael Averett. He is survived by his wife Brenda J. Averett, Warner Robins, GA; Daughter; Hope Jimmy Nichols, Advance, NC; Son; Chad Amy Averett, Macon, GA; Sisters; Maxine Simms, Atlanta, GA; Eleanor Walker, Macon, GA and eight Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, South Central Georgia Region, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
