Obituary of Ida Ethel Ganus

Warner Robins, GA: Ethel Ida Ganus, 85, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009. Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ganus nephews, Rev. Ronnie Adams and Rev. Clovis Lewis along with Dr. Napp Granade will officiate. Mrs. Ganus was born in Gilbertown, AL. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Annie Donald Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ganus. She was a retired mail clerk from Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Ganus was a member of the Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, the Keenagers and missions of the church. Survivors include her son Richard Ralph Susan Ganus of Warner Robins, grandchildren Sean Dylan Ganus and Amy Susan Ganus both of Warner Robins, sisters Mamie Adams and Lula Mae Helton both of Gilbertown, AL, brothers, Johnny Lewis of Semmes, AL and Benjamin Lewis of Gilbertown, AL. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
