Obituary of Ruth J. Ray

Kathleen, GA: Ruth J. Ray, 69, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ray was born in Bacon County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Georgia Stewart Johnson. She was a former church secretary and adult Sunday School Teacher at the First Assembly of God where she has been a member for many years. Mrs. Ray was a retired Executive Secretary of Robins Air Force Base AFRES having worked for General McIntosh, General Sherrard and General Smith. Survivors include her husband, Wayne D. Ray of Kathleen, son Kevin Dana Ray of Warner Robins, daughters Karyn Ronnie Reece of Covington, Karla George Laberee of Groveland, FL, brother L.S. Johnson of Vallejo, CA, grandchildren Hannah Ray, Jordan Ray, Natalie Reece, dear cousin Patsy Sparks of Warner Robins and dear friend Jean Boone of McRae, GA. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
