Obituary of Alvin Warren Lewis

Warner Robins, GA: Alvin Warren Lewis, 67, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday November 22, 2009. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Andy Cook and Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. Mr. Lewis was born in Colquitt County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother O.L. & Rosa Lee Lewis, his stepfather Henry Tate. He was a retired production manager from Robins Air Force Base and a former member of the Al Sihah Shrine Clown Unit which his name was “”Jingles””. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Shirley Hill Baptist Church. He was a former Sunday School teacher for special need children. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Martha Lewis of Warner Robins, son Alvin Keith Angela Lewis of Macon, daughter Kelli Leverette Tim Thompson of Gray, mother Margie Tate of Warner Robins, grandchildren Devin, T.J. and Tinsley, brothers Frank Walker of Greenville, SC, Horace and Jerry Tate of Cairo, GA, sisters Elaine Gay of Gainesville, GA, Joyce Maples of Doerun, GA, Joyce Jacobs of Cairo, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or to the Developmental Disable Ministries both @ 615 Corder Rd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mr. Lewis. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
