Obituary of Sara Henson

Warner Robins, GA: Sara Henson, 72, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Serenity Gate Hospice. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Henson was born in Crosby, MS to the late Samuel J. & Lillian Walley Pippin. She was retired from the Houston County Board of Education food service department. For over 20 years, she worked at the Centerville and Warner Robins Middle Schools. She was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church, the church choir and a former Sunday School teacher. Survivors include her husband, Mack M. Henson, Sr. of Warner Robins, children, Linda Woody Janik of Warner Robins, Mack M. Sandy Henson, Jr., of Haynesville, Cheryl Jack Sowers of Snellville, Randy Kim Henson of Warner Robins, brother, Paul Pippin of Frankville, AL, 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, but those who wish may make donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the American Diabetes Association Georgia Affiliate, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA, 30329, in memory of Mrs. Henson. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
