Obituary of Forest F. Whaley

Warner Robins, GA: Forest F. Whaley, 96, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008. Services will be at 11:00 AM Sunday in the Horeb Baptist Church in Hancock Co., GA with burial in Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Whaley was born in Orangeburg, SC, but had lived most of all of his life in Hancock County, GA. He was the son of the late James Walter Whaley and Anna Thomas. Mr. Whaley was also preceded in death by his wife, Inez Wells Whaley. He was a deacon and the last surviving member of Horeb Baptist Church. He was a retired machine operator with Borden Dairy Company but his love was farming. Survivors includes his sons, James W. Whaley of Macon, Warren Jessie Whaley of Villa Rica, GA, Welborn Pat Whaley of Locust Grove and Donald Cheryl Whaley of Warner Robins, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
