Obituary of Roland Jobin

Warner Robins, GA: Roland A. â??Joeâ?쳌 Jobin, Ret. Major, USAF, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Jobin was born October 1, 1930, to Henry & Mary Jobin in Concord, NH. He graduated from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH and joined the United States Air Force in 1952. After radar and bombardier school in Harlingen, TX, he served four tours in Vietnam where he was involved in 468 combat missions. He served in the 28th Bombardment Heavy Squadron. He was awarded many sevice medals which includes the Air Medal with 7 Bronze Oak Clusters, the Distingushed Flying Cross, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Combat Readiness Medal, the National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star, the Air Force Longevity Service Award with 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Mr. Jobin was a member of the SAC and of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jobin of Warner Robins, sons, Roland Jay Cheryl Jobin, John Paul Jobin, Glenn Jobin all of Marquette, MI, daughters, Anne Marie Scott Lowe of Travel City, MI, Joan Don Crozier of Grovetown, GA, Susan Martin Cranovich of Columbus, OH, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brothers, Paul Jobin of Concord, NH, Ray Jobin of Dover, NH, Norman Jobin of Concord, NH, Bobby Jobin of Manchester, CT, and 1 sister, Teresa Jobin Hayes of Concord, NH. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
