Obituary of Morris C. Blumenthal IV

Jacksonville, AL: Morris C. ?Tad? Blumenthal IV, 23, passed away on Tuesday March 7, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Warner Robins, GA. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Dr. Jimmy R. Asbell Jr., Rev. Helen Sue Thrift, and Rev. Deborah Wight-Knight will officiate. Mr. Blumenthal was born August 4, 1982 at Eglin AFB, Florida. He was a 2000 National Honor Society graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Tad was a member of the French Honor Society and served as drum major for the Choctawhatchee Stylemarchers Band. He attended Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Alabama, where he played saxophone in the Marching Southerners band and Hardcore pep band. He was a brother in Phi Mu Alpha Epslion Chapter, SINFONIA. Tad was an out-going, compassionate lover of people who thoroughly enjoyed life. Activities included playing the saxophone since fifth grade, Boy Scouts of America, Chrysallis Community, and the United Methodist Youth Fellowship, Shalimar United Methodist Church, Shalimar, Florida. He was also an avid outdoorsman participating in sky diving, spelunking, and bungee jumping. His strong faith anchored and affirmed his life. Survivors include his parents Morris C. ?Skip? and Mary M. ?Missy? Blumenthal III of Warner Robins along with his brother Billy-Edd Isgate Blumenthal and his sister Bonnie Kathleen Blumenthal. His grandparents are: Morris C. Blumenthal Jr. of Shalimar, Florida; Nell Isgate of Las Vegas, Nevada; and B. J. and Eloise Bjornson of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Tad was preceded in death by his grandfather Billy Edd Isgate. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Ministry, 205 N. Davis Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31093. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
