Obituary of Gene E. Myers

Warner Robins, GA: Gene E. Myers, 64, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at the Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Second Baptist Church with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Myers was born in Duplin County, NC to the late Eugene and Mary Sutton Myers. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Myers. Mr. Myers was a member at Second Baptist Church and had taught the Walker 1 childrens Sunday School Class for many years and has been past member of the Warner Robins Passion Play. He was a retired shop mechanic supervisor from Robins Air Force Base, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife Karen Kile Myers of Warner Robins, daughters Lindsey Myers of Warner Robins, Mandy Rigby of Durham, NC, Gena Church of Henderson, NC, son Greg Myers of Timberlake, NC, brother Joe Myers of Durham, NC, uncle Webb Myers of Cochran and two grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the Second Baptist Church Youth Scholarship Fund or the Church Building Fund at 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088 in memory of Mr. Myers. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
