Obituary of Hoyet W. Brown

Warner Robins: Mr. Hoyet W. Brown, Jr., 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Friday March 20, 2009. Mr. Brown retired from the GA Air National Guard, 202 EIS, as a MSgt. and from Civil Service at RAFB as an electrical technician with 42 years combined service. He was a member of the Central GA Amateur Radio Club and an avid hunter and fisherman. Every summer he spent time with friends at his second home at Mr. Bud’s Campground in the North GA mountains. He was a loving Daddy and affectionately known as ”Papa Hoyet” by his grandkids. Mr. Brown was predeceased by his parents Mr. Hoyet W. Caroline Elizabeth Stiller Brown, Sr. Hoyet was born in New Orleans , Louisiana and he was a member of Creedmore Presbyterian Church in Toca , Louisiana . Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Marilyn Gulley Brown, Daughter; Jennifer Brown of Lawrenceville, GA; Son; Ken Erin Brown, Cumming, GA; Sister; Clare Bottazzi, Covington, Louisiana; Mother-in-law; Hautell Gulley, Warner Robins, GA; Grand Children Rowan and Lily Brown, Cumming, GA; Sister-in-law Pamela Gulley Boggs, Warner Robins, GA and numerous nieces and nephews and many devoted friends he called ”Brothers”. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, March 23, 2009 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend David Grantham officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2009. Internment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full Military Honors. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to First Baptist Church Centerville.
