Obituary of Eugene Tanner

Ft. Valley: Eugene Tanner, 78, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Rev. Lewis Pearce will officiate. Mr. Tanner was born in Coffee County. He was a US Air Force veteran and retired from Robins AFB. He was preceded in death by his daughter Drurita Nugent. Survivors included his wife Nancy Tanner of Ft. Valley. Children; Sherry Charlie McGlamry Morrone of Centerville, Debbie Lashley of Bonaire, Marty Mary Smith of Covington, Westley Glenda Tanner of Bonaire, Diane Bridges of Perry, Gina Bill Hughes of Kathleen and Sandy Greg Tanner Smith of Byron. Siblings; Harvey Annie Gainey of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Sarah QuintonSammons of Callahan, FL. 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
