Obituary of Pamela Greenway

Warner Robins, GA: Pamela R. Greenway, 59, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. Funeral arrangements have been made for 11:00 AM Wednesday at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Greenway was born in Columbus, OH. She earned a BA from DePaw University, and her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University, where she was Editor of the Law Review. Mrs. Greenway practiced law in Warner Robins for 34 years. She was the first female attorney in Houston County. She was a former chairman, and current member of the Houston County Board of Education. She was appointed by Governor Perdue to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. She served as the Chief Municipal Court Judge to the City of Warner Robins, where she was also the Georgia Association of Municipal Court Judges 3rd District Representative. As a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, she also served on the Houston County Bar Association Scholarship Committee. She supported and worked with Hospice of Houston County, Warner Robins Downtown Development Authority, Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce, Abilities Discovered, Happy Hour Workshop, American Cancer Society, Rotary Club, and Civitan Club. As a dedicated mother and a firm believer in education, Mrs. Greenway was a member of the Warner Robins Jr. High PTA, Russell Elementary PTA, and Rumble Middle School PTA. She was the Middle Georgia Woman of the Year, 2008, and received the Sherill Stafford Good Government Service Award given by WR Area Chamber of Commerce, 2008. She was preceeded in death by her father, Leo Clair Motter. Survivors include husband, Glynn Greenway of Warner Robins, daughters, Christy Greg Wright of Marietta, and Tracy Richards of Warner Robins, mother and step-father, Mildred Jo Kristoffersen and Kris Kristoffersen of Columbus, Ohio, step-daughter, Diane Greenway of Warner Robins, brother, Andrew Motter of Bucyrus, Ohio, step-brother, Erik Kristoffersen of West Mentor, Ohio, grandchildren William and Anna Claire Wright of Marietta, GA, and step-grandson Connor Eckstein of Warner Robins. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
