Obituary of Mildred Norris

Warner Robins, GA: Mildred J. Norris passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 27th, at Central Baptist Church with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Norris was born in Carroll County, GA to the late Olin N. and Page Arrie Harrod Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Murphy Norris. She was a charter member of the Central Baptist Church where she was in involved in the 5-0 Senior Group and the Helping Hands organization. She was a member of the Warner Robins and the Centerville Senior Citizen Group and the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Norris was a graduate of the Georgia Baptist Nursing College in Atlanta. She was a registered nurse for over 50 years and retired from the Houston Medical Center in 1992. Survivors include her children, Marie Steve Ralston of Jonesboro, AR, Lee Debbie Norris of Madison, FL, Jan Carl Floyd of Kathleen, sister, Hazel Norton of Bowdon, GA, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Buddy and Yvonne Norris of Warner Robins, grandchildren, Cindy Chadwick, Scott Ralston, Christopher Norris, Justin Norris, Ryan Norris, Jessica Floyd, Caleb Floyd, Kyle Floyd, great grandchildren, Emily Ralston and Cole Chadwick. Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be given to Central Baptist Church @ 1120 Lake Joy Rd, Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice @ 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, in memory of Mrs. Norris. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
