Obituary of Mike S. Forrester

Kathleen, GA: Mike Forrester, 56, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Forrester was born in Rock Hill, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur E. and Dorothy Lee Bogan Forrester. He was employed at Robins Air Force Base as a Program Manager. He served his country with honor and retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service and with the Office of Special Investigations. Mike was very active with his children which lead him to become a member of the Board of Directors with the Central Georgia Soccer Association for five years and a community volunteer where he held several different positions. Survivors include his wife, Diane Forrester of Kathleen, children, Georgia Parworth of MS, Ami Gary Spencer Warner Robins, April Jesse Smith of Bonaire, Matthew Forrester, Michelle Forrester both of Kathleen, grandson, Cam Spencer of Warner Robins, brother, Eric Forrester and sister Pamela Fuller both of Rock Hill, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans State Headquarters @ 4462 Houston Ave., Macon, Georgia, 31206, in memory of Mr. Forrester. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
