Obituary of Bertha Mildred Batchelor

Warner Robins, GA: Mrs. Bertha Mildred “”BB”” Batchelor, 93, passed away on July 16, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, 19 July 2009 at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Missy Blumenthal will officiate. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, 18 July 2009 from 6 PM until 8 PM. “”BB”” was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bertha Ivey Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Frank D. Batchelor and grandson Mr. Neal Frank Thompson. “”BB moved to Wellston, GA in 1942 with her family which is now Warner Robins. “”BB”” was the youngest of five children, a life long member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for over fifty years and a member of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class. “”BB”” was a Charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 351 and a Daughter of the Nile HA HISLA Temple NO. 98. God gave “”BB”” a gift of being multi-talented where she could do anything that she set her mind too and never left a task unfinished. “”BB”” will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends. “”BB”” is survived by her Daughters; Nadine B. Marvin Thompson of Bonaire, GA, Rena B. Mac Derrick, of Kathleen, GA, Granddaughters, Gina Mitchel Rainey and Karen Wayne Rigby of Warner Robins, GA; Great Grandchildren; Kevin, Lauren and Steven Rainey of Warner Robins, GA; Lindsey and Dillon Rigby of Bonaire, GA and Aaron Frank Thompson of Texas. Also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Music Ministry of First United Methodist Church, 205 North Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093 or to Bonaire United Methodist Church in memory of Mrs. Bertha Mildred “”BB”” Batchelor. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
