Obituary of Margaret A. Givens

Warner Robins, GA: Margaret A. “”Peggy”” Givens, 82, Passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2009. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11 AM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Givens was born in Banes, Cuba. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Eleanor Titley Gibbons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George D. Givens. She retired as a mail room supervisor from the Daily Sun Newspaper after 27 years of service. In her younger days, she was an avid softball player. She loved to keep up with the local teams and their success. Mrs. Givens was a lifetime booster for Northside High School where her children went to school. Survivors include her daugher, Cathy LeBrescu of Warner Robins. Sons, Stephen Givens of Warner Robins; Robert Givens of Tyrone, GA; Jerry Givens of Hanford, CA. Nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, brothers, Kenneth E. Gibbons of Oklahoma City, OK and Neal Gibbons of Oxnard, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warner Robins Animal Shelter @ 206 Bay Street, Warner Robins, GA 31088, in memory of Mrs. Givens. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
