Obituary of Thurmond Russell Cooper

Warner Robins, GA: Mr. Thurmond “”Russell”” Cooper, 78, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, February 12, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 15, 2010, with Rev. Darrell Vandervort and Rev. Bruce Brookshire officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Mr. Cooper was born December 3rd, 1931 to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Dennis Cooper and Mary Amanda Clemmons. He was preceded in death by a grandson Grant Cooper. Russell was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired Civil Service Electronics Technician. He was the president of the Warner Robins Duplicate Bridge Club. Russell is survived by his wife Judith Cooper of Warner Robins, Daughter Nancy Marie Alan Hancock, Phenix City, AL; Sons; Tony Judy Cooper of Macon, GA; Rusty Cooper and Kenneth Cooper both of Warner Robins, GA; Adopted Sons; Johnny Babb of Warner Robins, GA and Hung Lam of Marietta; Step-daughter Dawn Chris Farrell of Front Royal, VA; Step-Son Ronald April Kuitko of Longview, TX; Brother, Billy Betty Cooper, Milledgeville, GA a special niece Nell Kelly, of Bonaire, GA also twelve Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted; however donations can be made to the First Christian Church, 100 North Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093 or to Loaves and Fishes, 651 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Macon, GA 31201. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
