Obituary of William Roy Miller

Warner Robins, GA: William Roy Miller, 92, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Second Baptist Church with entombment in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Slade will officiate. Mr. Miller was born in Johnson County, GA. He was the son of the late N.B. and Laura Smith Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife Pearl Mimbs Miller. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served proudly in World War II. He was a lifetime member and past chaplain of the Disable American Veterans Association, member of the VFW and past member and chaplain of the Battery A 105th Coast Artillery Antiaircraft Corp. Mr. Miller was a retired material dispatcher at Robins Air Force Base. He was a longtime member at Second Baptist Church where he was a member of the XYZ Senior Citizen?s group and a member of Herb DeGroot Sunday School Class. Mr. Miller was a past volunteer fireman with the Adrian, GA fire department. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Survivors include his son Larry Kathy Miller of Warner Robins, daughter Robin Robert Sisa of Bonaire, sister Lillian Mimbs and half brother James Poole both of Adrian, GA, grandchildren Ben Sisa, Tim Miller, Brandon Sisa, Kristin Bone, great grandchildren Elijah Sisa, Zoey Bone, Casen Bone and MaKinzee Miller. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at Second Baptist Church @ 2504 Moody Bridge Rd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the American Diabetes Association Georgia Affiliate, One Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA, 30329, in memory of Mr. Miller. Heritage Memorial Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
