Obituary of John Alvin Carnes

Warner Robins, GA: Mr. John Alvin Carnes, 64, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Bryant will officiate. Interment will be at Parkway Memorial Gardens. John was born on March 7, 1945 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Martin Alice Ruth Blystone Carnes. John was married to Mrs. Linda Pittman Carnes and was an inactive deacon and member of the Sandy Valley Baptist Church. John was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and formally employed by Cox Communications. John was well liked and loved by all who knew him and he will be missed by his friends and family. Survivors include his wife Linda Carnes of Warner Robins, GA; Brothers Homer Darlene Carnes of Newell, West Virginia; Chuck Carnes of Atlanta, GA; Sister Mary Jane Michael Burrows of Alexandria, PA. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted however, memorials will be can be made to Georgia Transplant Foundation 6600 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, 600 Embassy Row, Suite 250, Atlanta, GA 30328 or to donor of choice. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
