Obituary of Barbara Long Stewart

Kathleen, GA: Barbara Long Stewart, 75, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Centerville with burial at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 PM until 9PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Stewart was born in Byron, GA. She was the daughter of the late Homer W. and Lois Rape Long. She was also preceded death by her husband James L. “”Jimmy”” Stewart, Jr. She was a graduate of the A.L. Miller High School in Macon. She was retired from Robins Air Base having worked there for over 38 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Centerville. Mrs. Stewart was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children Denise Chris James of Niceville, FL, Bryan Tammy Stewart of Kathleen, Mark Kim Stewart of Warner Robins, grandchildren, Daulton Stewart, Reagan Stewart, MacKenzie James, Grayson James, Davey Allen, Jacob Allen, sisters Catherine L. Jones of Kathleen, Kay L. Bailey of Centerville, brother, William Derrell Long of Centerville and her beloved dog Presley. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the The Children’s Hospital at the Medical center of Central Georgia @ 777 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201, in memory of Mrs. Stewart.
