Obituary of Edward G. Hemak

Warner Robins, GA: Edward G. Hemak, 76, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hemak was born in Jermyn, PA on June 7, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Sophia Hemak and a daughter Betty M. Barton. Edward served in the United States Air Force and in Vietnam and retired as a NCO TSgt. He was a member of the VFW, DAW, American Legion, the Air Force Association and the NARFE. He was also a member of the Robins Air Force Base Chapel and a devoted father and Catholic. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Mildred Hemak, daughter Lynn Bob Dalrymple, son Edward G. Hemak, II, daughter Kathleen Richard Hemak-McWhirter, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren all of Warner Robins, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association Southeast Affiliate @ 3312 Northside Dr., Suite 140A, Macon, GA 31210, in memory of Mr. Hemak. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
