Obituary of Dessie Lee Hicks

Warner Robins, GA: Dessie M. Hicks, 84, passed away on Friday March 12, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16th, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home on Tuesday. The Rev. Sydney Odom will officiate. Mrs. Hicks was born in Telfair County, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents James Robert and Nealy Durden Marchman and her husband Robert L. Hicks, Sr. Mrs. Hicks was a retired purchasing agent from Robins Air Force Base and a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include her son Robert L. Phyllis Hicks, Jr. of Centerville, daughter Janet Hicks Scott Tweed of Arlington, VA, sister Mary Lizzie Covington of Eastman, grandchildren Amber Atchley of Orange City, FL, Christie McDaniels of Centerville, Heather Tweed of Las Vegas, NV, Eric Tweed of Omaha, NE, and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice @ 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to Central Baptist Church @ 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Centerville, GA, 31028, in memory of Mrs. Hicks. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
