Obituary of Sylvia Patricia Stewart

Warner Robins, GA: Sylvia “”Pat”” Stewart, 67, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday March 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Second Baptist Church with burial at 2:00 PM in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mike Slade and Rev. Rusty Stewart will officiate. Miss Stewart was born in Cordele, GA. She was the daughter of the late Julius Preston Stewart and Ila Mae Stripling Stewart. She was also preceded in death by a nephew Ricky Stewart and a great niece Rachel Ryan. Pat was a long time member of Second Baptist Church where she was a member of the Promise of Sonshiner Sunday School Class and a retired items manager at Robins Air Force Base. Survivors include her brother Billy his wife Linda Stewart of Perry, sister Martha Johnson of Warner Robins, nephew Rev. Rusty Stewart of Hawkinsville, nieces Terri Davis of Mansfield, GA, Jennifer Merritt of Warner Robins, TuWanda Pipkin of Cochran, Laura Forester of Byron and several great nieces and nephews. The family of Miss Stewart would like to personally thank Dr. Scott Edenfield and his staff for the kind and considerate care they gave to her during her illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund @ 2504 Moody Rd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088 or to the Shamgar Ministries in care of Rev. Rusty Stewart @ P.O. Box 481, Cochran, GA, 31014, in memory of Miss Stewart. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
