Obituary of Dilworth Porter Grantham

Warner Robins, GA; Dilworth P. Grantham, 85, passed away in a local hospital, Friday, 16 April 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, 19 April 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Warner Robins with burial in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. His Grandson, Rev. Ross Lewis will officiate. Mr. Grantham was born in Wacissa, FL. He was the son of the late Noah Grantham and Gertrude Byrd Grantham Infinger. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Doris Grantham and Eudora Grantham Chancy; Brothers K. L. Grantham and Myron Grantham. Mr. Grantham worked for many years for Atlas Van Lines in Warner Robins, was retired from Wall Tire Company Warner Robins and also worked for the City of Warner Robins. Mr. Grantham was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins serving as Deacon, Sunday School Secretary and on the Offering Committee. He was a loving devoted husband, father, Grandfather and friend. Survivors include his daughters Gloria Jerry McLaughlin of Oviedo, FL, Judy Tony Lewis of Warner Robins, son Gary D. Ginger Grantham of Warner Robins, grandchildren Michael Ramsey, Randy Ramsey, Rev. Ross Lewis, Jonathan Lewis, Nikki Pope, and David Grantham; Great grandchildren, Faith Ramsey, Grant Ramsey, Tyler Pope, and Evelyn Ramsey. Also his Sister, Miriam Reid of Waukeenah, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church @ 1135 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice @ 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088, in memory of Mr. Grantham. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
