Obituary of Willie Lee Thornton

Warner Robins, GA: Willie Lee Thornton, 79, won his battle with cancer and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday April 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at the Cochran Field Church of God on Hwy 247 with burial in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Thornton was born in Echols County, GA. He was the son of the late Oscar and Annie Mathis Thornton and was preceded in death by a son David Thornton. He was a member of The Way, Truth and Life Church in Bonaire. His passion in life was telling others about his Lord and playing gospel music. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Survivors include his wife Nancy Thornton of Warner Robins, children Danny Sarah Thornton of Warner Robins, Gary Anna Thornton of Warner Robins, Tony Regina Thornton of Warner Robins, Steve Brenda Thornton of Murfreesboro, TN, Debbie Harold Bennett of Montezuma, GA, 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
