Obituary of Harry George Webster

Warner Robins, GA; Lieutenant Commander Harry G. Webster, USN Retired 83 passed away April 24, 2010 at Summers Landing. He was born in St. Louis, MO on September 1, 1926. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles B. and Helen Haun Webster, his wife Margy Bush Webster or 36 years, one stepson, one nephew and his brother Robert. With pride and honor he served the U.S. Navy for more than 28 ½ years, enlisting as a Seaman Apprentice in 1944 and retiring as a Lieutenant Commander Supply Corp in 1973. He was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins. He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America; a member of the Fleet Reserve Association for more than 50 years; a Master Mason for more than 50 years belonging to Tyrian Lodge III Warner Robins, GA; and a member of the Navy Mustang Association. He is survived by one nephew, David Anita Turner of Olive Branch, MS; niece Donna Turner, of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., long time family friends Bertie Roland Haddock of Gary, GA. Funeral will be in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Wednesday, April 28 at 1 pm. The Dr. Glenn Gilstrap will officiate and will sing the Navy Hymn. Internment will be in Parkway Memorial Gardens with military honors. Heritage Memorial Funeral and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
