Obituary of Charles J. Bonner

Panama City Beach, FL; Mr. Charles J. Bonner, 89, passed away April 26, 2010. He was born February 2, 1921 in Greenock, Scotland. He was the son of Charles P. and Anne Boyle Bonner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, April 30, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment in Andersonville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, April 29, 2010 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with a Rosary being said at 7:00 PM. Mr. Bonner was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Military Order of the World Wars, Military Officers Association of America, Usher at Sacred Heart and Past President of Middle Georgia Chapter of Retired Officers Association. He was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and a retired Major of the United States Air Force Reserve. Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife, Elizabeth K. Bonner, of Panama City Beach, FL; Daughters; Elizabeth Bonner of Panama City Beach, FL, Rose McNichol of Centerville, GA, Mary Kim Schmidt of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Teresa Craig McCarter of Macon, GA; Sons, Charles J. Rosa Bonner of Nashua, NH, James Lisa Bonner of Enfield, NH, Joseph Bonner of Centerville, GA and three sisters Kathleen O’Malley, Mary Doherty, and Josephine Gaughan all of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Mr. Bonner’s name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 300 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
