Obituary of Philip Douglas Bosarge

Warner Robins, GA: Mr. Philip Douglas Bosarge, 89, the son of the late Ernest O. Bosarge and Sophie F. Lechner Bosarge of Biloxi, MS, succumbed after a long illness with cancer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrena Connie Bosarge. Mr. Bosarge served in the Army-Air Corp during World War II in North Africa and Italy. After the War, he lived in Mobile, AL, where he worked in civil service at Brookley, AFB in flight Test and then accident investigation, started the Public Speakers Bureau, worked closely with the Civil Defense of Mobile County, and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. In 1965, he moved his family to Warner Robins and worked at Robins AFB from which he retired after many years of distinguished service. Mr. Bosarge was a Million Dollar Producer, member of the Central Georgia Board of REALTORS from 1979 through the ’90’s, and owned Bosarge Realty. Mr. Bosarge coached children’s baseball for many years in Houston County. He is survived by his current wife, Mary Alice; his daughter, Regina Bosarge Bryant; his son Philip Joseph Bosarge; 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and his brother, Vincent Cotton L. Bosarge of Biloxi, MS. Visitation and Rosary for Mr. Bosarge will be at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, 17 May 2010 at 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, 18 May 2010 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment at Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mr. Bosarges’ name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 South Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
