Obituary of Willie Frank Taunton

Warner Robins: Willie Frank Taunton, 89, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bill Bagwell and Rev. Marty McLeod will officiate. Mr. Taunton was born in Tallassee, AL to the late William Owen and Florence Loraine Dunn Taunton. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Sunday School Class. He served in the US Army during WWII and was retired from Robins AFB. Survivors include his wife Bert Louise Raines Taunton of Warner Robins. Daughters; Linda Bob Hopkins, Jane David Kibler all of Warner Robins and Joel Kenneth Godfrey of Prattville, AL. Brother; Marvin Taunton of Ogden, UT. Grandchildren; Ryan Alyssa Godfrey, Jeremy Godfrey, Andrea Eric Godfrey Salvador, Drew Mary Ann Hopkins, Stephen Hopkins and Scott Kibler. Great grandchildren; Caleb Hopkins, Lily Ann Hopkins and Tristan Godfrey. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Heritage Memorial Funeral home.
