Obituary of Janie Mae Smiley

Warner Robins, GA: Janie Mae Smiley, 71, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday in the First Baptist Church of Garmon Street with burial at 4:00 PM EST in the Elmwood Cemetery in Selma, AL. Visitation will be from 7 PM until 9 PM Thursday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Juluis Raines and Pastor William D. Smith, Sr. will officiate. Ms. Smiley was born in Selma, AL. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee and Jettie Lee Dixon Smiley. She was a retired Certified Nurse Assistant and a member of the Resurrection Baptist Church of Warner Robins. Survivors include her children Jeraldine Thomas of GA, Naomi Mills of GA, Wayne Aisel Smiley of IL, Jellean Lester Jackson of GA, Linda Martin of NC, Leonard Smiley of GA, Joyce Vernon Moten of GA, Angela Smiley of GA, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two honorary daughters Gloria Collins of FL, Kay Puissant of GA and 3 nieces Juliett, Stephanie and Kimberly. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
