Obituary of Homer B. Hobbs

Warner Robins: Homer B. Hobbs, 84, passed away on Saturday October 16, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bill Bagwell will officiate. Mr. Hobbs was born in Shreveport, LA to the late G. L. and Vera Becker Hobbs. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Asbury Sunday School Class. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the 4th Armored Division Alumni Association. He was retired from the Houston County Board of Education, a member of the Houston County Retired Educators Association and was the first principal at Northside Junior High School. Survivors include his wife Dorothy C. Hobbs of Warner Robins. Children: Gary Linda Hobbs of Loganville, Chuck Sandy Hobbs of Charleston, SC, Dottie Charlie Cole of Warner Robins, Danny Gwen Hobbs of Evans and Roy Lynn Hobbs of Suwanee. 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Monday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
