Obituary of Carol Gavin Dyer

Fairfield Glade, TN: Carol Gavin Dyer, 56, passed away on Wednesday October 18, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Father Fred Nijem will officiate. Mrs. Dyer was born in Savannah, GA. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, TN. She volunteered for many organizations including Gulf Park Swim Team, Knoxville Catholic High School, and Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville, TN. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Fairfield Glade, TN. Survivors include her husband Rich Dyer of Fairfield Glade, TN. Sons: Ryan Dyer of Castle Rock, CO and Christopher Dyer of Atlanta, GA. Mother: Helen C. Gavin of Centerville, GA. Siblings: JoAnn Allen Kenroy of Austin, TX, Arthur Madeline Gavin Jr. of Macon, GA, Robert Susan Gavin of Warner Robins, GA, Mike Anitra Gavin and Mary Gibson all of Centerville, GA. A Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home followed by a time of visitation until 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to your local Habitat for Humanity or Knoxville Catholic High School Athletic Association, 9245 Fox Lonas Rd., Knoxville, TN 37923.
