Mr Taylor never ceased to amaze me. I live just across the street from him and even at 97 & 98 years old he could be seen mowing and driving his Lincoln and I add that he did an admireable job at both. He gardened well into his 90s on a large scale and frequently shared his garden produce with my wife and me. He would show up with some new potatoes, tomatoes, and invited us to pick mustard greens from his garden. He is a great loss to the neighborhood and a special friend I just wish I could emulate. Mr Homer will be missed by many people. To have known him, I feel privileged and honored. I was lucky enough to be on his list to receive some of his famous Better Boy Tomatoes and other veggies and fruits from his garden.
Always willing to help anyone in need and willing to spend some time swapping stories about sports, gardening, cars, bird houses, family, or any other subject.
His memory will be treasured by me for a lifetime. I pray for the family to look to GOD for the strength needed to endure these hard times.I know how hard it is to lose someone that close.

We always enjoyed our visits with Uncle Homer. His dry wit entertained us on many occasions. May Theresa, Bobby, Elizabeth, Kevin, and all the family find peace and comfort in God’s Word. My dad, Claude, Uncle Homer’s brother, always spoke of Homer’s basketball skills. One story dad liked to tell was when they were at Guernsey School. Dad coached the junior team and Homer was his best player.
However the varsity coach saw Homer and moved him to the varsity team. Dad said that move caused his team to lose the championship. (The varsity team won their championship.)
So wish we could be there, please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers
as you go through this difficult time. Our love and hugs to all.
Nina and Arley
