Sandra, I was so sorry to hear about your daughter, Kimberly. I did not know her but you were my best friend for many years so my heart is saddened. I have two daughters - one older and one younger- and I cannot imagine the sorrow. Love to you and Phillip. Cheryl

It saddens me that I won't be able to pick up the phone to call, text, or message Kimberly. Not only was she my coworker of whom I got the pleasure of training at Houston Medical Center, but she became a dear friend. I will never forget our private conversations and laughs and most importantly our private tears. Kimberly was one of the most sweet, happy, and positive people I've ever known and I'll never forget her. The last conversation we had, days before her passing was she promised me to fight and not give up so we could work and see each other again. She was very concerned to know how me and my family was after our tragic loss, and asking for my prayers as she was praying for us too. This hurts me so deeply, but I know that God needed her more and I will miss and love her until my final breath. Sleep peacefully my friend until we meet again on the other side of Heaven. To the family, my sincere condolences and prayers are with you all.
Love always...Lucretia S. Carr

I’ve known Kim since 1st grade at Russell. My childhood is filled with wonderful memories of sleepovers and laughter. I moved to Louisiana in the 5th grade, but we always kept in touch. Writing letters back and forth. I eventually moved back to Georgia. A few years did pass by as we got older and started families of our own, but thanks to Facebook, we were able to reconnect again years ago. When I heard the news of her passing, I couldn’t believe it. I am praying for her family, and especially for her daughter, Gracie. Gracie now has a beautiful angel watching over her.
