Dear Shirley and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Ben. I know it is so hard. Just keep remembering all the wonderful years and memories that you have of him and your family. That is what I have done the last 11 years and it has helped. You know I love you and yours. I'm sorry I couldn't be with you. love always Patsy Huto

Dear Lowery Family, as friends of Johnny, therefore Northside alum, I, and my husband were so, so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Lowery. I met him when I came down and stayed with you for the class reunion and watched UGA football. You could definitely tell there was lots of love, laughter and history in your warm home. Your family and home lost a sweet man, so our thoughts are with you and yours as you navigate this first holiday season without your loved one. Take care, Tracy and Brent Purcell (Acworth, GA)

Shirley and family, please accept our condolences in the Home going of Ben. Yes, Ben was a Southern Gentleman of the highest caliber. He was a good hunting friend for several years. We, along with the family will miss Ben even though we didn't see each other very often. We believe that there was shouting in Heaven when Ben arrived. We pray that the Holy Spirit will surround y'all with His comforting presence. We love y'all, Pete & Billie Greer

I was so blessed to have him as an Uncle. He was truly a force of good in the world. He enjoyed being known as a Tin Can Sailor, having served the country and forces of good in the world during the Korean War. He served his community in many ways over the years and was known as a man of principles but open to all. He was one who could be counted on by his family and who celebrated our family heritage. Of all the things I remember about my uncle, his gratitude for the blessings of his life and his most excellent sense of humor stand out the most. I was lucky enough to visit this past summer and even in the hospital he kept us and the nursing staff in good spirits.
Mark and I are saddened to not be able to attend the service and be with the family to see him to his rest but we will hold all in our hearts during this most difficult time.
