Obituary of Elizabeth Gassett McGrotha

Elizabeth Gassett McGrotha, 92, of Warner Robins, passed away on October 24, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born on September 8, 1929, in Roberta, Georgia to Lawrence and Leila Gassett.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Thad K. McGrotha, Sr.; parents, Lawrence and Leila Gassett; four sisters and six brothers.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Thad Kenneth McGrotha, Jr. (Deborah) of Macon; daughter, Frances McGrotha Giles (Billy) of Centerville; grandchildren, Reginald Giles (Lisa) of Pelham, AL, Lori Phillips of Centerville, Tania Bartlett (Robbie) of Byron, Kelli Barton (Mark) of Macon, Brannon McGrotha (Stella) of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Joel, Christian, Josiah, Brittany, Jessica, Riley, Teagan, Asher, Laney, Sam and a baby girl in March; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden, Peyton, Kynedi, Parker, Kanen, Leilani and Eli.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
