A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A Funeral Service honoring the life of Margaret will begin at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Immediately following the services, Margaret will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Margaret was born on December 19, 1934 in Ogelthorpe, Georgia to the late Mary Justice and Moye DeLoach. Margaret was the epitome of a true southern lady who strived to provide for those she loved. Being raised through the Great Depression, Margaret truly appreciated the value of a dollar and hard work. She was a woman who had possessed a strong determination about herself and the things she wanted to accomplish. Margaret gave everything she did her all which resulted in her being skillful in many different areas.

One of her favorite hobbies was to be within her kitchen baking treats for others to enjoy, or cooking a meal for her beloved family. Margaret truly loved sitting around a table and sharing a meal that she had prepared while sharing a laugh with those in attendance. When she was not cooking, she could be found alongside her beloved husband, George who she traveled across the United States in their motor home. Margaret loved the thrill of adventuring and always had a warm smile upon her precious face when she saw an opportunity arise full of adventure.

While Margaret had accomplished and loved countless within her life, nothing compares to the love she had for her Lord and Savior. She understood the importance of walking alongside the Lord and serving him with all of her: soul, mind, heart, and strength. She will forever be remembered for her smile, acts of love, and professed relationship with Jesus.

In addition to her parents, there waiting for Margaret at the gates of heaven is her beloved first husband, Alvin Jackson; son, Greg Jackson; siblings, Ralph DeLoach, Sue Vulgamore, Joyce Goodbread, Gladys Christian, and Ben DeLoach.

Left to cherish the beautiful memory that Margaret leaves behind is her loving husband of the last several years, George Brooks; Children: Gail Vance (Ronald), Jimmy Jackson (Jeri); Grandchildren, Bruce Vance (Kacey), Phillip Vance; Great-grandchildren, Andrew Vance, Braxton Vance, Reagan Vance; Siblings, Mary Driver, Larry DeLoach. Mary is also survived by a host of extended family members and countless friends.
