Obituary of Jerry Michael Walters

Mr. Jerry Michael Walters, 74, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Jerry was born in Greenville, South Carolina on May 23, 1948 to the late Lydia Harrison and Joe Walters. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Joey Walters.

Jerry was an honorable and loyal man who dedicated his life to serving his family and country. He enlisted into the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. After the military, Jerry continued to provide for his family, becoming an Industrial Electrician. You knew you could call on him and he would always be there with a helping hand. When Jerry was not working, you could find him in front of a T.V. cheering on the Los Angeles Rams or the Dodgers.  His favorite sporting events included watching his granddaughter play volleyball or grandson play soccer. Further more, Jerry was an artist finding joy in painting with oils and pastels, and creating unique knick knacks to decorate the house. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Hilda Howell Walters; daughter, McKesia (B.J.) Fox; grandchildren: Nyah Fox, and Kaden Fox; nephew, Brad Walters; a precious fur baby, B.P. Cooper Pup; and a host of extended friends and family.
