Obituary of Christine L. Caison

Christine L. Caison passed away peacefully, Monday, September 4, 2023. She was 90 years old.  A funeral service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 at 1 PM. A visitation will take place one hour prior between the hours of 12 PM and 1 PM. Mrs. Caison will be laid to rest privately at Magnolia Park Cemetery.  Christine was born in Crawford County, Georgia, May 20, 1933 to the late Mr. B.L. Lewis and Mrs. Florine Bloodworth Lewis. She was 1 of 7 children. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings: Alma Hudson, Roy Lewis, and Carlton Lewis and her beloved husband, Hiliary Caison. 

Christine was special and dear to so many, always providing an ear to listen and a smile to brighten their day.  She was an LPN at Houston Medical Center for many years, working on Two Main where she made lifelong friendships; it's significant that one of her grandchildren is also a nurse.  Her children have fond memories of coming home from school and sharing their day with her all while she was cooking a meal in the kitchen. Having a love for music, Christine not only took piano lessons herself, but also provided years of lessons for her children and underwrote musical opportunities for her grandchildren, who have continued her legacy and love for it. She and her husband, Hiliary were local beekeepers with people traveled from near and far to buy the best tasting honey in town.  Her friends were a true blessing to her in her last days.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kathy (Craig) Giddens, Robin Caison, Tamara Mackai; grandchildren: Tyler Giddens, Ivy Giddens, Kimberly Giddens and Jordan Filipiak; siblings: Clarence Lewis, Hazel Mead, and Sally McRorie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
