Obituary of Mr. Gerald John Brody

Mr. Gerald John Brody, 78, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 between the hours of 6 PM and 8 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife, Sang Brody at Parkway Memorial Gardens. 

Mr. Brody was born October 2, 1944  in Chicago, Illinois to the late Mr. Roy Brody and Mrs. Evelyn Nylen Brody. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Sonny "Roy" Brody.

Mr. Brody proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  After retiring from the military, he began working as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base as a computer programmer.  He enjoyed attending services when able at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. When he wasn't working he could be found wetting a hook in a pond or watching his favorite movies.  Mr. Brody will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his sons: Robert Brody and John (Tammy) Brody; grandchildren: Taelor, Gage, Madison, Evan and Chase; siblings: James, Darlene, and Ardelle; and a host of extended family and friends.
