Obituary of Ret. TSgt. William (Bill) Duell Lytle

Ret. TSgt.  William (Bill) Duell Lytle, 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 7, 2023. A visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with the service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Funeral Home.

Bill was born in Drayton, South Carolina to the late Herman Duell Lytle and Ola  B. Buchanan Lytle. 
Bill devoted his life to serving his country. He enlisted into the United States Air Force  in 1966 where he loyally served his country for 20 years with around the world assignments. After Bill retired from the Air Force in 1986, he continued to serve his country as a Logistics Analyst, working in the Electronic Warfare Division for multiple contractors at Robins Air Force Base. He was a former Sunday School Teacher, avid Atlanta Braves fan, devoted Nascar follower and cheater at Uno. 

Bill is survived by his cherished wife and soulmate, Susan Marie Lytle;  son, Michael Lytle (Tammy), daughter, Michele Dawn Weathers (Robbie); granddaughter Mia Weathers, grandson Trey Weathers; brothers: Gary Lytle (Mary), Preston Lytle (Jacqui); and an extended host of friends and family, including his loyal Fur Baby Blossom.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society at www.bestfriends.org or another animal rescue of your choice.
