Obituary of Johnnie H. Wealot, Jr.
Mr. Johnnie H. "Junior" Wealot, Jr., 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, October 2, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. A visitation with friends will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Saturday, October 7, 2023 between the hours of 4 PM and 6 PM . The funeral service will take place Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.
Junior was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Johnnie Wealot, Sr. and Clemmie Bates Wealot on May 4, 1944. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wealot. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic, also serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He was a skilled carpenter and painter, providing for his family as a self employed business owner. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, watching Nascar, coin collecting and golfing.
Junior is survived by his cherished wife of 55 years, Mattie Wealot; children: Johnnie "Monkey" Wealot, III (Christi), Tanisha "Ladybug" Holcomb (Wayne), Catina "Tina" Scott (Jason); grandchildren: Jacob Wealot, Cari Hall, Shayna Block, Mark Holcomb, Daniel Scott; great grandchildren: Madison Wealot, Lilah Hall, Rowan Hall, Therin Hall, Eason Block, Ian Wealot; siblings: Vernon Wealot, Deborah Wealot, and Kenneth Wealot (Marilyn); and a host of nieces and nephews.
