Obituary of MSgt. William B. Shaw, USAF (Ret.)

MSgt. William B. Shaw, USAF (Ret.), 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior, February 22, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Father Fred Nijem officiating.  William will be inurned beside his beloved wife of 56 years, Doris Shaw immediately following with military honors.

Bill was born on April 24, 1945 in Yonkers, NY to the late Walter and Eugenia Shaw. In addition to his parents and spouse, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Shaw and sister, Kathleen Gruessing.

Bill dedicated his life to serving others. He joined the United States Air Force as a young man. He traveled around the United States until retiring in Middle, GA with his wife and family. Bill was an active member at Sacred Heart where he enjoyed praising God. Bill also enjoyed running marathons and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his sons: William Shaw (partner Lisa Guntert) and Frank Shaw (wife Cydney), 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, his sister, Charlene Richards, and a host of extended friends and family.
