Obituary of Mrs. Lonnie Mae Wilson
Lonnie Mae Nobles Wilson, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 25, 2024. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2024, 11:00AM in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Her son-in-law, Jose Balli will officiate. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM one hour prior to the service. Lonnie will be laid to rest in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Lonnie was born April 9, 1934, in Parrish, Florida to the late Lonnie and Lila Nobles. She was a member of the Centerpoint Church in Kathleen. Lonnie always kept a good home, giving of herself by opening her home to anyone who would come. She enjoyed cooking and always had dinner on the table. In addition to her gift of hospitality, Lonnie was known to have an opinion and didn't mind expressing it. All in all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother and everyone who knew her will miss her.
Lonnie is survived by her husband of seventy years, Norman L. Wilson; three daughters: Patricia (Jose) Balli of Centerville, Sharon (Phil) Hall of Warner Robins, and Johanna (Kirt) Murray of Stockbridge; sister, Melanie Roberts; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Abba House of Middle Georgia, 1347 Sam Nunn Blvd. Perry, Georgia 31069.
