Obituary of Jacqueline May Glessner

Jacqueline May Glessner passed away in the morning hours of Saturday, March 2, 2024 surrounded by her children.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.  The service will be held immediately following the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00AM. Arch Deacon Yvette Owens will officiate. Jacqueline will be laid to rest beside her husband, Richard Glessner in the Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.                   
                
Jacqueline was born September 30, 1939 in Washington County, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Mildred Sutton. She retired from The Exchange (AAFES) as support staff for the military retail store. Jacqueline had a green thumb, investing time and energy into her flower gardens. She also enjoyed watching an exciting NASCAR race and going off to spend a day on the beach. Nothing brought her as much joy, however, as her family. Jacqueline was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and everyone who knew her will miss her.

In addition to her husband of 65 years and parents, Jacqueline is preceded in death by her son, Todd Glessner; son-in-law, Michael Terwilliger; brother, James Skinder; brother-in-law, John Cornelius; and great grandson, Caleb Glessner.

Jacqueline is survived by her son, Richard L. Glessner, II; daughter, Robin Terwilliger; daughter-in-law, Robin Lee Glessner; brothers: Jeff (Margie) Sutton and Robert Sutton; sister-in-law, Ruth Anna Cornelius; grandchildren: Todd Glessner, Heather (James) Montgomery, Krista (Chad) McLaughlin, Stephanie (Austin) Bass, and Anna (Cody) Wright; nephews: Johnathon Sutton, Michael Sutton, John Cornelius, and Mark Cornelius; nieces: Marcia Staul and Lori Smith; and nine great grandchildren.
